Minbanc Foundation is an IRS 501 C 3 corporation. ALL donations to Minbanc are 100% tax-deductible. Additionally, current regulations allow for CRA credit for a donation to a purpose such as Minbanc’s.

The Community Reinvestment Act: Interagency Questions and Answers Regarding Community Reinvestment offers clarification on what may be considered a qualifying investment when supporting minority and women-owned institutions.

Banks that provide technical assistance to minority and women-owned institutions could receive favorable CRA consideration - in the Interagency Q&A technical assistance is further defined as "furnishing financial services training for staff and management."

While many factors contribute to your CRA evaluation and while there are no guarantees as to qualifying activities, 100% of the financial contributions received by Minbanc Foundation translate directly to Education Grants for the employees of minority and women-owned institutions - and these grants support employee tuition at compliance training, financial forums, bank-director workshops, graduate schools of banking, and other high level training designed to ensure the sound management of a financial institution.

Minbanc grants are offered exclusively to the employees of minority and women-owned banks. These grants are used to provide training and education for bank employees to further their expertise in the financial services industry. Supporting Minbanc with a financial contribution helps MDI banks serve their communities.

The Minbanc Foundation is a 501 C 3 and its IRS tax ID number is 51-0386370. Minbanc Foundation is a Delaware corporation and operates out of the District of Columbia. It is Minbanc’s policy to only make fundraising solicitations in the jurisdictions where we maintain current licensure to fundraise.

Minbanc Foundation has applied for charitable solicitation licensure in the following jurisdictions: CA, IL, MA, NC, NY, DC. We also actively fundraise in the 14 US states/jurisdictions which do not currently require charitable solicitation registration.
